Abstract:In order to find an effective means for quick prospecting breakthrough in high mountain areas, the Airborne Survey and Remote Sensing Center of Nuclear Industry carried out large-scale airborne electromagnetic demonstration survey in the Wulonggou gold deposit which is located in the Tibetan Plateau. With high-precision measurement and slow undualating flight suitable for the terrain situation, qualified raw data were acquired, and then detailed data processing, analysis of petrophysical parameters of rocks, and fast drilling verification were carried out, which made it possible to find a series of metal minerals, thus opening up a new prospect for airborne electromagnetic survey. The rapid prospecting breakthrough of 'three simultaneous' is realized. According to the demonstration survey and the prospecting effects, the large-scale electromagnetic method has the advantages of rapidness, high precision, low cost and significant effect in high mountain areas, thus having broad application and promotion prospect in such areas.
